The voluptuous rich blackberry-scented exotic 1998 Syrah Eisele Vineyard reveals outstanding ripeness and purity in addition to a soft mid-section and velvety-textured finish. It is hedonistic and more forward than vintages such as 1996 and 1995. About 8% Viognier was co-fermented with the Syrah. This will be an atypically forward Syrah to drink during its first 10-12 years of life. RP
